Collectors

Two types of concentrating solar power systems are implemented: a linear parabolic trough collector (PTSC) and a linear Fresnel reflector (LFR).

PTSCs concentrate the solar radiation through long rectangular curved mirrors, tilted toward the sun, whereas LFRs concentrate the solar radiation through long parallel rows of flat mirrors.

For a better understanding of the underlying physics, see Chap. 16 of [EHB19].
